Following your order, you will have been deemed to accept the below Terms of Service
Please ensure you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms of Service before ordering a For the Grandchildren project.
1) Privacy & Confidentiality
For the Grandchildren will share your interviews with our employees, contractors and agents for the purpose of transcribing, editing, proofreading, and video editing.
2) Copyright
Copyright for all projects through For the Grandchildren will be with the client for personal use. We do not retain, publish, or share purchased Digital Family Keepsakes.
3) Libel, Invasion of Privacy, Slander, Malice
For the Grandchildren will not be liable for any claims arising from the content of your submission through interview responses. As the Storyteller, you are responsible for ensuring the information is accurate, truthful and respectful of individuals or companies mentioned in print or video. If you are unsure if any content could open you up to the possibility of a lawsuit, please seek independent legal advice.
4) Purpose of Sharing Your Story
It is understood that your interview is not intended to be commercialized or sold. Your Digital Family Keepsakes are made available to your family and friends for their enjoyment.
5) Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Once we complete an interview our production team begins transcribing and editing within 24 hours.
- For scheduled interviews, clients can cancel 48 hours before the interview time for a full refund.
- If a client has attended their interview and chooses to cancel the project before we begin transcription or editing, a $200 (USD) admin fee will be incurred and the balance refunded.
- If a client has attended the interview and we have commenced transcription and editing, there is no refund.
6) Missed Interview Policy
If the Storyteller misses a scheduled interview, the interview will be rescheduled without penalty. If the Storyteller misses an additional interview, a $50 (USD) fee will be charged, and the interview will be rescheduled.
7) Deliverables
For DIGITAL FAMILY KEEPSAKE INTERVIEW
- Enjoy a personal interview with our professional interviewer who gently guides you to share your story, life lessons and wisdom.
- Your interview will be captured in a high-definition video or quality audio software.
- You can submit up to 12 photographs including your headshot to add to your story.
- Your interview will be professionally edited, images added (eBook/Video) and background music and subtitles added (Video/Audiobook).
- Your final Digital Family Keepsake within 15 business days after your interview.
8) Limited Liability
The total liability of For the Grandchildren arising from any damage caused as a result of the project or For the Grandchildren’s actions, or the actions of its employees or contractors will not exceed the total cost of the service fee.
9) Our virtual recording studio
For the Grandchildren provides a web link to our virtual recording studio so we can record your interview without incurring long-distance charges. You must have a strong internet connection, and an external mic and webcam are recommended.
